If you can find "elg" in a circle or shield that will confirm it was at least Belgian proofed. S/N's were not commonly used at that time. Most likely the only numbers you will find will be assembly numbers. I'm not familiar enough with the revolver to know if it had a model number or name. Model #'s were not in general use at that time either.

LEFAUCHEUX BTE PARIS' in script, underside marked 'RAFAEL BASCUNAN VALLEDOR' in gothic lettering, fully fluted twenty-shot staggered cylinder firing on. 7mm Lefaucheux revolver. This revolver is in a beautiful condition. It works 100% and only in DA. It carries the very recognizable mark of Eugene Lefaucheux, a little revolver and the initials LF are clearly visible. The barrel has a faded text..... a Paris. The trigger has the following text: "E. Lefaucheux.
